NRTI, a vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is India’s first university focussed on transport-related education, multidisciplinary research and training. Mr. Suneet Sharma is the Chairman and CEO of Indian Railways, Asia's largest rail network, and one of the largest employers in the world with a workforce of over 3 million. A graduate in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, he is a Special Class Railway Apprentice Officer of the 1978-batch with over 37 years in the Indian Railways, discharging responsibilities at various levels viz. Divisional Railway Manager/Pune, General Manager, Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli, including zonal railways, workshops and diesel loco sheds. He was General Manager, Eastern Railway before he became the Chairman and CEO of Indian Railways.
xInterim Vice Chancellor and Additional Member (HR), Railway Board
Ms. Alka Arora Misra is a senior officer from the 1985 batch of Indian Railway Personnel Services. She has a Master’s degree in Economics from Allahabad University and 32 years of rich experience in the Indian Railways. In her time at the Railways, she has held several key administrative positions across divisions, including as Principal Executive Director (Training & MPP) Railway Board, and Chief Personnel Officer (Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd.). Currently, she is Additional Member (HR), Railway Board and the interim Vice Chancellor of the National Rail and Transportation Institute.

Prof. Sudhir Jain is an active academic and a passionate academic administrator. He has been on the faculty of IIT Kanpur since 1984 from where he was on leave to IIT Gandhinagar in Ahmedabad to shoulder the responsibilities of its Director. As its Founder Director, Prof. Jain has experimented with numerous ideas in curriculum, student affairs, faculty recruitment and faculty management. The Institute under his leadership has successfully created a number of initiatives to inculcate and promote excellence by the faculty and students. With his innovative approach and energetic leadership, the new Institute has carved out a distinct identity in the IIT system. Dr. Jain holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Roorkee, and Masters and Doctoral degrees from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena.
xProfessor, IIT Delhi and former Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani
Prof. Bijendra Nath Jain is now Visiting Professor of Computer Science at IIT Delhi post completing a 5‐year term as Vice Chancellor at BITS Pilani. During 2010 to 2015, he worked with BITS’ leadership to grow and transform BITS into one of India’s top research‐led university, while introducing a number of innovative solutions to enhance research capability and industry engagement. In 1983, Prof. Jain was the first in India to propose a nation‐wide data network for India. With funding from Government of India and UNDP, and together with developers from other IITs, IISc, DoE and NCST, he built and launched in 1990 India’s first data network, ERNET, and thereby made India the 14th country in the world to be part of the Internet. He obtained B. Tech. from IIT Kanpur in 1970 and Ph. D. from SUNY, Stony Brook (NY) in 1975.

Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala did his B.Tech degree from IIT Kanpur and MS and PhD from University of Maine, USA and was a faculty at Washington State University, USA for a year and half before joining as a faculty at IIT Madras in 1981. Prof. Jhunjhunwala is considered a pioneer in nurturing Industry-Academia interaction in India towards R&D, Innovation and Product Development. He conceived and built India’s first university affiliated business park (IIT Madras Research Park) to promote Industry-Academia R&D collaboration. TIE conferred him the title of Dronacharya for his contributions to the cause of entrepreneurship, as he incubated and nurtured more than 180 companies at IIT Madras. Dr. Jhunjhunwala was conferred Padmashri, Shanti-Swarup Bhatnagar Award, Vikram Sarabhai Research Award, H. K. Firodia Award, Silicon India Leadership Award, Millennium Medal at Indian Science Congress, UGC Hari Om Ashram Award, IETE’s Ram Lala Wadhwa Gold Medal, JC Bose fellowship, Bernard Low Humanitarian Award among many others.

Prof. Abhay Karandikar is currently serving as the Director of IIT Kanpur. Earlier, he was the Dean (Faculty Affairs) and the Institute Chair Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay. He has been instrumental in developing many pathbreaking technologies and has been at the forefront of several large initiatives both at the institute and the national level. He is the founding member and chairman of the Telecom Standards Development Society of India (TSDSI), India’s standards body for telecom. He has also served as the coordinator of Tata Teleservices IIT Bombay Center of Excellence in Telecommunications (TICET) and the National Center of Excellence in Technology for Internal Security. He received his M.Tech. and then a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1988 and 1994, respectively

Mr. Vinayak Chatterjee co-founded Feedback Infra in 1990 and continues to serve as its Chairman. He is a strategic advisor to leading Indian companies, the Government of India, the Ministry of Finance, State Governments, as well as multilateral and bilateral institutions in the areas of infrastructure planning and implementation. He is one of the leading proponents of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for developing India’s infrastructure. He is on the Board of Directors of SRF Limited, LaFarge India Limited, L&T Power and Avantha Power & Infrastructure Limited. He is also on the Advisory Board of HDFC Property Fund. He is a graduate in Economics (Hons.) from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University and a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha is the Founding Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB), which rapidly became a top 20 B-school in the world. He is also the Founder & Trustee of the new liberal arts university, Ashoka University (ashoka.edu.in). Presently, he is the Provost of Anant National University, Ahmedabad, which is aiming to be India’s leading private teaching and research University in the fields of Built Habitat, Design and Sustainability. For his contributions to education, he was awarded the Personality of the Year by FICCI in 2015 and named one of India’s top 50 management thinkers by Thinkers50 in 2013. Pramath received M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering and applied mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.Tech. in metallurgical engineering from IIT Kanpur.
